Joe Adkins, a pumpkin carver and grower from Wheaton, Illinois, has made a name for himself in the world of giant pumpkins. Known as "Pumpkin Joe," Adkins began growing his own pumpkins out of a love for carving faces into the gourds. Unlike traditional methods, he prefers to carve the pumpkins' surfaces rather than hollow them out, allowing his creations to last longer.
