This week, the Fort Myers Police Department hosted the 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚, bringing together agencies from across Florida for this demanding five-day training that prepares instructors to deliver life-saving water survival skills to their departments. 🌊 A huge thank you to Scuba Quest on McGregor Boulevard for allowing us to use their facility, and to G-Force Training LLC for instructing the class. | Fort Myers Police Department

This morning Officers from the Fort Myers Police Department drove through zones A and B announcing a mandatory evacuation is in effect. Everyone in Zones A and B should move to a safe place no later than 10 p.m. today and shelter in place throughout the storm. Winds will start to impact our area overnight, including gusts to tropical storm force. During impact we will experience sustained hurricane force winds and a storm surge of 6 to 10 feet is expected. | Fort Myers Police Department
