Study on the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA) was accelerated to 2023, guided by decision of the 54th meeting of ASEAN Economic Ministers. The study was completed and endorsed at the 55th AEM meeting while the DEFA negotiation was officially launched in September this year at the 23rd meeting of the ASEAN Economic Community Council.
