Apr 1, 2009 · The Shelby 351W is CNC-machined from a casting of A356 T6 alloy and features a 9.5-inch deck height and available bore sizes ranging from 4.024-inch to 4.125-inch (using ductile iron sleeves). The 2.75-inch main caps are billet steel with four-bolt retention on the center three mains and can accommodate up to 4.250-inch stroke.

Kirkham is overwhelmed with orders, booked way out, so pricing is to slow down demand so supply can catch up. But a Shelby will come from Kirkham, so it will take a while too.

Jul 22, 2003 · No small blocks, either in a Shelby Mustang or a Cobra, came from the factory (Shelby American) with dual quads. 1967 GT500's (428's) had dual quads, and a fair number of big block Cobras (427's & 428's) came with dual quads, but that's about it.

May 4, 2009 · Very interesting. The LA is actually part of the car's number, not just an MSO thing. CSX4011 would have been built in the late 90s, yet this CSX4011LA was built in 2007. Obviously this is a special series car. Perhaps sold by an outside dealer with permission from Shelby and with a special VIN (Shelby does do that). _____

Feb 7, 2023 · The Shelby "Salisbury" is a Kirkham aluminum unit. My 289 has the Salisbury but is a Jaguar unit with mounting brackets Ross designed to allow it to mount to the Cobra frame points. If I was doing my car today, I would go ZF; constant velocity joints as opposed to the U-joints and plunge axles.

They need to be cleaned up, but no pinholes or noticeable damage. Feel free to message me an offer if you're interested. They have both piping to go under car and a flange with cover for fender exit when you want to uncork.
