The Dallas Cowboys added a weapon with star potential this week when they struck a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire wide receiver George Pickens in exchange for a third-round pick and a 2027 Day 3 pick swap.

On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers moved on from wide receiver George Pickens by trading him to the Dallas Cowboys. This left the Steelers with a huge vacancy at wide receiver. Pittsburgh is also still in a holding pattern at quarterback as Aaron Rodgers remains undecided about his future.

To clear a slot on its offseason roster for Pickens, Dallas waived wide receiver Seth Williams, who played at Paul Bryant High School in Cottondale and Auburn. Williams joined the Cowboys’ practice squad on Oct. 8. He had re-signed with Dallas in January.
