A suspect was arrested after one person doied and another hurt in early morning shooting at a University of New Mexico student housing complex in Albuquerque.
A New Mexico State Police officer fired "at least one shot" at a man in southwestern Santa Fe and wounded him Friday afternoon during a welfare check that turned violent, state police Chief Troy Weisler said in a video on social media Saturday.
Antonio Gomez, 45, was fatally shot in Ranchos De Taos, N.M., on Wednesday, July 16, the New Mexico State Police announced in a statement. A woman, identified as Gomez's ex-wife, was also shot and survived the attack.
