Though the record books will never know it, the No. 4 UConn men’s basketball team curbed No. 22 Michigan State on Tuesday night, at the newly named PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, CT.

Michigan State got a lot of its respect back last season. Despite starting the season unranked in the AP Poll, MSU went 30-7, reaching the Elite Eight as a No. 2 seed during the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans also went 17-3 during Big Ten play, winning the regular season conference championship by three games.

Michigan State was led in scoring by its four captains and veteran leaders: Jeremy Fears Jr. (14 points), Carson Cooper (12 points), Coen Carr (11 points) and Jaxon Kohler (10 points). But overall, this group needed to provide more in order to knock off a top five team in a road game like this one.

Per a social media post from Sam Kayser of League Ready, Reed will announce his commitment on Saturday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. ET.
