Goalkeeper Matz Sels was the hero for Nottingham Forest as he saved the last penalty in a shootout to take his team past Ipswich Town and into the quarterfinals of the FA Cup on Monday. The teams were tied 1-1 after 90 minutes and extra time and the first nine takers all converted their penalties in a nail-biting finale.

Far have they travelled and much have they dreamed, but Forest needed goalkeeper Matz Sels’ agility to keep them on the road to Wembley. As the strains of Forest’s Mull of Kintyre anthem reverberated around the City Ground, Sels sprawled to keep out Jack Taylor's penalty and book a quarter-final date at Brighton.

As has been the case for much of the season, Matz Sels proved himself one of the best goalkeepers in English football, saving Jack Taylor’s penalty in the shoot-out to send Nottingham Forest into the FA Cup quarter-finals.

So penalties it was, and Chris Wood and Sam Morsy converted the first spot-kicks for their respective sides and it continued in that vein until Ipswich's fifth penalty which Jack Taylor stepped up to take and Matz Sels pulled off a save.
