Los Angeles Kings center Anže Kopitar claimed the third Lady Byng Memorial Trophy of his NHL career on Thursday after taking just two minor penalties in 81 games last season.

Kopitar, 37, also won the Lady Byng in the 2015-16 and 2022-23 seasons to become the 10th player to win it at least three times.

Kopitar hopes to win his third Lady Byng, and his first since 2022-23. The 37-year-old center scored 21 goals and 67 points in 81 games this year while only registering four penalty minutes.
