Ukraine attacked a Russian military object in the far-eastern city of Vladivostok on Friday, marking an escalation between the two countries ahead of an expected second round of talks next week.

On the morning of May 30, two powerful explosions occurred in the Russian city of Vladivostok near the Desantnaya (Landing) Bay. RBC-Ukraine's sources confirmed that these were the result of a successful operation by Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR).

Drones smuggled into Russia hit bases as far away as Siberia and the far east, destroying 41 aircraft that carry cruise missiles and detect enemy planes, said a Ukrainian official.
