The Cleveland Cavaliers have been urged to sign Malcolm Brogdon since Darius Garland is expected to miss the start of next season recovering from left foot surgery. Garland had surgery Monday to repair the left big toe injury that troubled him during the 2025 playoffs and is expected to miss four to five months.

The Cleveland Cavaliers needed Darius Garland to get back on the court in the playoffs. They may have rushed him because they needed to be close to full strength to get back and beat the Indiana Pacers.
