During the online reveal of the recently introduced Optiq-V, Cadillac mentioned that it currently has one of the highest electric vehicle (EV) conquesting rates in the industry. What this essentially means is that its EVs are attracting buyers from other brands, and, by extension, stealing sales from other automakers.

The Optiq-V’s twin electric motors ― one on each axle for AWD ― are the ones used in Cadillac’s midsize Lyriq EV. They’re bigger than the base Optiq, which produces 300 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque. The V’s 10-module battery is the same size at the base Optiq.

Rolling into its seventh model year, the Cadillac CT4 is unchanged for 2026 but still offers a variety of powertrain configurations at a base price that undercuts most of its competitors.

As GM Authority anticipated last year, GM has officially confirmed its intention to launch the Cadillac brand in Brazil by year’s end or in early 2026.
