The weather service said from noon Sunday until 6 p.m. Monday, winds along the shoreline are expected to be between 20 and 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph possible. The weather service said the strongest winds are expected Sunday night into early Monday.

The risk of brush fires is high Monday, making permits to burn brush no longer valid, according to state officials.
Highs are expected to top out in the 50s under sunny, blue skies, after a cold front moved through the area Wednesday. Morning lows will be chilly, with temperatures in the 40s along the coast and as low as the mid 30s in northern Connecticut. Some spots in the northwest hills could get down to just a few degrees above freezing.
No Kings’ protests will be in Connecticut on Oct. 18, with marches and rallies scheduled from Norwich to Greenwich as part of a nationwide movement.
