In the aftermath of the 2025 Texas floods, a look back at some of the most destructive and defining flood events in the state’s weather history.

Between July 3 and 6, Texas Hill Country experienced catastrophic flash flooding along the Guadalupe River system. The floods claimed at least 130 lives, with over 96 fatalities in Kerr County alone.

A flood watch was in effect for more than a dozen counties as authorities resumed the search for victims of the July 4 tragedy.
