Pair of JUCO recruits to officially visit Michigan State football during bye week
Despite the struggles during the 2025 season, Michigan State football's coaching staff has stayed diligent working on the 2026 recruiting class. During the bye week, this week, the Spartans will be welcoming in a pair of JUCO players on official visits.
With Milivojevic under center, the offense looked much more controlled and poised. According to the PFF grading, Michigan State's offense was given a 74.3 overall grade. This grade is the highest Michigan State has gotten since its week three win against Youngstown State.
That stick-to-itiveness helped Milivojevic direct a second-half comeback with 17 straight points, including a 71-yard touchdown to Rodney Bullard Jr. in the third quarter on a rollout throw on the run.
The Spartans (3-5, 0-5 Big Ten) lost to the Michigan Wolverines (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten) 31-20 on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. Michigan had only a three-point lead entering the third quarter, and one of their two third-quarter touchdown drives came with a controversial penalty that negated a Spartans' turnover.
Recruiting never stops in college football, and Michigan State is set to host two junior college players on official visits during its bye week. Both players are currently playing for Hutchinson Community College, which is located in Kansas. The Blue Dragons are currently ranked No. 1 nationally in the NJCAA's Division I rankings and are 8-0.
Michigan State football fought back vs Minnesota, but a withdrawn pass interference flag in overtime sent the Spartans to their sixth straight loss.
