The most recent big Mega Millions winner was a lucky lottery ticket holder in Arizona, who struck gold on Jan. 18, winning a $113 million jackpot. According to the lottery, only four tickets matched all six Mega Millions numbers in 2024 – the fewest jackpots won in a calendar year since the game began in 2002.

The California player bought a ticket that matched all but one number picked in the Feb. 14 drawing, making it worth nearly $1.5 million, results show. The winning numbers: white balls 11-19-31-49-56, with gold Mega Ball 16.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the latest drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing to $145 million.
