Two Louisiana Democrats are calling on Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson to resign following the escape of 10 inmates.

State officials have said they have been able to track down and rearrest five of the 10 inmates who escaped last Friday morning, May 16, in a daring breakout that Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson called an “inside job,” according to USA Today .

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor officially launched a full financial audit of the Sheriff’s Office this week. The move comes just days after Sheriff Susan Hutson asked the New Orleans City Council for an additional $13 million to fix critical infrastructure issues inside the city’s aging jail.
