A man has been shot by police after two people were stabbed on a street in Merseyside. Officers were called to the Tobruk Road area of Huyton shortly before 16:30 BST after reports a man and a woman had been attacked, Merseyside Police said.

The killing of the 29-year-old inmate, who has not been publicly identified, occurred Monday in the facility and is under investigation, a spokesperson said.

Clark County has released the name of the man stabbed to death by a sheriff’s deputy in Ridgefield last week. Marc Fogle, 54, of Clackamas, died from “multiple stab wounds of the torso” shortly after midnight on May 8, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office. The death was ruled a homicide.
