Arrests made following AMBER Alert in North Carolina
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) said two arrests have been made following an AMBER Alert that was issued on Tuesday. According to officials, the SBI and FBI were requested by the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a child abduction case.

Not one, but two North Carolina amber alerts this week ended in human trafficking arrests. Police say both of the girls at the center of the amber alerts were found after being kidnapped by older men they met online.

WTVD, an ABC affiliate, reports that 32-year-old Elihue Martin Mahler of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and 24-year-old Austyn Lee Cole of Kitty Hawk face charges of felony human trafficking of a child victim, felony kidnapping, felony conspiracy to kidnap, and felony conspiracy, human trafficking.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old North Carolina girl. Geydi Liseth Hernandez Fernandez is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Fernandez was last seen wearing jean shorts and a red shirt with a bear on it. Officials said she has a Jordan Matthews High School laptop with her.
