Nine people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a truck hit a parked van in Manhattan, causing it to strike pedestrians on the sidewalk.

A newborn girl was discovered wrapped in a blanket at a subway station in Midtown Manhattan during New York City's Monday morning rush hour, authorities said. The baby was found just before 9:30 a.m. on a staircase leading to a train platform at West 34th Street and Seventh Avenue, the New York Police Department said.

New York City police are looking for a woman who is wanted for questioning after officials found a newborn baby abandoned on a subway platform at Penn Station.

The infant was discovered conscious and alert at the bottom of a staircase on the busy platform for the No. 1, 2 and 3 subway lines about 9:30 a.m., police said.
