National Guard troops arrived in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday morning following a couple of days marked by violent clashes between law enforcement officers and protesters over President Trump's immigration enforcement operations conducted in the area.

California National Guard arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday, deployed by President Donald Trump after two days of protests by hundreds of demonstrators against immigration raids carried out as part of Trump's strict policy.

On Sunday, President Trump deployed the military to face off against hundreds of people immigration raids. The confrontation took place outside the Metropolitan Detention Center and included around 300 National Guard troops who lined up with riot shields and fired tear gas at protestors.
