The death of 23-year-old Kada Scott has been ruled a homicide, prompting Philadelphia prosecutors to approve a murder charge Wednesday against the man arrested in her case.

Officials have released new documents that detail the conversations between 23-year-old Kada Scott and 21-year-old Keon King who has been charged with her murder.

According to Interim 1st Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore, the Philadelphia Medical Examiner has ruled that the cause of death for Kada Scott is homicide. Investigators are now recommending murder charges to the District Attorney's Office for 21-year-old Keon King.

A vigil for 23-year-old Kada Scott was held at the vacant Ada Lewis Middle School Monday after the Philadelphia Medical Examiner said DNA results confirmed that her body was found over the weekend.
