Average gas prices will be lower this Memorial Day weekend than they have been at the same point of the calendar since 2021, according to GasBuddy, a company that helps users find the cheapest gas in their area.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Gas prices across the nation were holding steady on Friday as the Memorial Day weekend approached. According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of unleaded fuel on Friday morning was $3.19. That’s the same price as a week ago and 2 cents higher than $3.17 a month ago. It’s also 42 cents cheaper than $3.61 a year ago.
