A student of Vanderbilt University may receive offers around the nation after nailing an impressive field goal kick on "College GameDay."
The scandal emerged as a stunning development this week, as Billups, Heat guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player and coach Damon Jones were all arrested following two investigations into separate schemes — for the alleged rigged poker games and for a sports gambling operation that federal investigators say relied on insider tips.
Vanderbilt student Tyler Hwang won $500,000 on ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday morning by making a 33-yard field goal during host Pat McAfee’s weekly kicking contest. McAfee also donated another $250,000 to charity, bringing the successful kick’s total to $750,000.
College GameDay is live from Nashville, Tennessee, Saturday for a top 15 matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Missouri Tigers. ESPN influencer Katie Feeney busted out the perfect fit. The viral new member of the crew this year has been a hit at college campuses across the country not only with her interviews, but with her fashion choices.
ESPN's College GameDay crew hit the road on Saturday morning for a trip to Nashville, Tennessee with the upstart Vanderbilt Commodores set to the host the Missouri Tigers at 3:30 p.m. ET today.
