Carlos Alcaraz ended Britain’s Wimbledon hopes with a dominant win over Cameron Norrie, beating him 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 in just under two hours. With this win, the 22-year-old Spanish star has now reached the Wimbledon semi-finals for the third time in a row.

Cameron Norrie is the last Briton standing in the Wimbledon singles bracket, but faces a fraught run to the final if he is to become the first home contender to lift the Challenge Cup since Andy Murray in 2016.

Norrie’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals were crushed in just an hour and 39 minutes by the defending champion.
