The Boston Red Sox took on the New York Yankees on Friday night and got one of the most dominant outings overall by a starting pitcher in baseball this year with Garrett Crochet. Boston is starting to turn things around and turned the ball over to Crochet to set the tone vs.

Four times, Aaron Judge came the bat against Garrett Crochet. The first three times, Crochet recorded a strikeout, extending Judge’s streak of futility to six straight plate appearances ending in a punch out against the Red Sox ace lefty, dating back to last Saturday in the Bronx.

The Red Sox have had a chance in games whenever Garrett Crochet has been on the mound this season. And with the exception of one pitch in Friday’s 2-1, extra-inning win over the Yankees, he was again proving to be the antidote to Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.

The Reds swung a trade on Saturday by acquiring right-handed pitcher Brian Van Belle from the Red Sox for cash considerations. Cincinnati optioned Van Belle to Triple-A Louisville and now have a full 40-man roster.
