Boston Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story will soon have to decide whether to stay on his current deal or seek a new one.

As the MLB offseason officially nears, the Boston Red Sox reportedly expect veteran shortstop Trevor Story to return next year, according to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo. Story, who turns 33 on November 15, can opt out of his contract this winter. However, he’ll make $25 million if he chooses to remain with the Red Sox.
