By Olena Harmash KYIV (Reuters) -British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Thursday he would give Ukraine the support it needed to put it in the strongest position to fight Russia in 2025, saying before talks in Kyiv with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy: "We mustn't let up".

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the drone threat was "a reminder of what Ukraine is facing every day."

Sir Keir Starmer's visit to the presidential palace in Kyiv was met with a message from Russia when a drone was blasted out of the sky above. The prime minister was meeting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the next steps for Ukraine, on Sir Keir's first visit to Kyiv since his election victory last July.

NATO countries have strengthened their ties with Ukraine, while Russia has warned against foreign involvement. As the war continues, long-term agreements between Ukraine and its allies are becoming more common.
