Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin officially kicked off his campaign for his third term on Saturday at Iron City. About 250 supporters gathered with signs, applause, chants and dances to music from a live DJ to support the mayor’s campaign.

He cited his investments in infrastructure, including redevelopments of blighted structures and street paving. He also didn’t shy away from what many consider to be Birmingham’s biggest issue:

The incumbent pointed to educational, infrastructure and neighborhood achievements during his tenure and said the city has come too far to turn back now.
