ESPN talking head Stephen A. Smith drew some support in a recent poll of potential 2028 candidates for president, the Daily Mail reported. The poll showed Smith getting more support than some big-name Democrats, including one who ran for the nomination in 2020.

The poll shows that 22 percent of independent voters have a favorable opinion of the Democratic Party, versus 59 percent having an unfavorable view. Men have a 22 percent favorable view, versus 67 with an unfavorable view, while 39 percent of women have a favorable view of the party compared to 47 percent having an unfavorable view.

It has been evident for some time that the Democratic Party isn’t in a great place. It’s somewhat normal for that to be the case for a party after a disappointing election. But the scale of Democrats’ problems is beginning to come into focus. And it’s both stark and sobering for the blue team.
