Third-graders who scored at the "proficient" reading level on the MAP test fell to 32.7 percent in 2003, down from 33.6 in 2002.

Superintendent of Centralia Public Schools, Glenn Brown, said recent test preparation questions used for the MAP tests are unacceptable.

Districts across the state will take the MAP between March 29 and April 30 this year. Depending on what week they're scheduled to test, some districts have to keep up the security for over a month.
