BATON ROUGE - Southern University lifted its lockdown on campus after a shooting at U.S. Jones Hall on Sunday evening.

Southern University was locked down for safety on Sunday night. The lockdown was lifted just before 9:30 p.m. It comes after an alert issued by SUPD said there had been a shooting incident in U.S. Jones Hall. One person was taken to the hospital, according to school officials.
