Bill Scott will serve as Metro's first Chief of Police and Emergency Management for the Transit Community Public Safety Department

William “Bill” Scott, San Francisco police chief, was named the Los Angeles County transit agency’s top cop in a surprise announcement made at LA Metro’s security operations headquarters in downtown Los Angeles.

In an exclusive interview with LAist, Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins said she chose Scott for his ties to L.A. and pursuit of police reform in San Francisco.
