Around 85 Austin Energy customers remained without power just after 9:20 a.m. Wednesday. The outages, which at their peak Tuesday affected 31,000 customers, were caused by high winds ripping through the city.

"At this point, Austin Energy is restoring power to critical, life-safety services, as well as our largest single outages — or circuits," the utility posted to social media just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
