Boston University had the most awkward reaction to its opening NCAA softball tournament matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners.

The road to Oklahoma City and the NCAA Softball Championship officially begins this week, and the Aloha State will be well represented. Nine players from Hawaii high schools across eight collegiate programs are set to compete in the regional round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Sooners were seeded second behind Texas A&M even though Oklahoma won the SEC regular season title. For the second straight year, Oklahoma is headed to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2-overall seed. Last year, the Sooners dropped the regular season series to Texas before avenging that loss to win the Big 12 Tournament.

The NCAA Tournament brackets will be decided with Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M awaiting their postseason fates.
