Loved ones of Justin "Juice" Marshall are searching for answers after he was killed in a South Minneapolis shooting early Friday.

Police are investigating a second fatal shooting in south Minneapolis on Saturday, which MPD Chief Brian O'Hara said was a "brazen" daylight killing. The latest shooting happened at Lake Street and Grand Avenue South just after 1 p.m., with police arriving to find a man in his 40s gravely wounded.

MINNEAPOLIS — One man is dead after being shot in the city's Lyndale neighborhood early Saturday afternoon. According to police, officers were called to the 3000 block of Grand Avenue South, where they found a man in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound. The man would later die at the scene despite life-saving efforts.

There have been three homicides in Minneapolis since Friday morning, according to police. The first homicide happened early Friday near Franklin Avenue and Lyndale Avenue. Police arrived to the area around 2:30 a.m. and found a man with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.

According to the Minneapolis Crime Dashboard, there have been 31 homicides in Minneapolis this year. That's down from 42 at the same point late year, and below the three-year average of 41.

Minneapolis police say that around 4:20 p.m., the suspected shooter — a man in his 20s — was arrested on the 4700 block of Cedar Avenue South.
