The wife of a Louisiana police chief, who was charged amid a sweeping federal investigation into an immigration visa fraud scheme, was also arrested on Thursday.

Four law enforcement officials, including two current police chiefs, are charged in connection with a scheme to fraudulently secure U.S. visas.

Current Oakdale Police Chief Chad Doyle and Ward 5 Marshal Michael "Freck" Slaney were each charged with conspiracy, six counts of visa fraud and six counts of mail fraud. Doyle faces one count of money laundering, while Slaney faces two.
