Karen Read's lucky charm may be a plow driver who saw nothing during multiple passes by the address where she is accused of leaving her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe, to die on the ground in a blizzard in January 2022.

Read, 45, is accused of striking John O’Keefe, her Boston police officer boyfriend, with her Lexus SUV and leaving him to die alone in a blizzard outside of a house party in Canton at the home of fellow officer Brian Albert on Jan. 29, 2022, following a night of drinking.

(WJAR) — Testimony continues in the Karen Read murder trial on Wednesday. This is a day after the judge denied the defense’s motion for a mistrial. The first trial ended in a mistrial. The Bristol County woman is accused of killing her Boston police officer boyfriend John O’Keefe by backing her SUV at him during a snowstorm in 2022.
