Chelsea have certainly had the final say in their unexpected social media rivalry with Flamengo. When two sides met on the pitch last month, it was the Brazilian outfit who emerged victorious in the Club World Cup Group D clash after coming from behind.

Back in the group stage of the competition, Brazilian side Flamengo stunningly defeated Chelsea 3-1. Flamengo's social media account proceeded to troll Chelsea multiple times, including one post with the score graphic and the caption "Easy win against London Blue!"

Chelsea were recently punished by UEFA with a $36m fine for breaching financial rules, while they have also already spent over £100m this summer on Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap. More arrivals are expected, with Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho a long-term consideration.
