Arsenal are expected to be busy this summer as they gear up for another crack at the Champions League while also embarking on what they hope will be another title chase

Injuries have crippled a squad which Arteta has freely described as “thin”, leaving Arsenal without a recognised centre-forward for most of the campaign’s conclusion. Arteta acknowledged the “need” for more recruits in what he billed as “a very exciting summer”.

Arsenal co-chair Josh Kroenke says the club will invest in the squad this summer as they strive to win major trophies. The Gunners wait for silverware is now at five years after they failed to win a trophy this season.
