President Tayyip Erdogan told Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Ankara on Thursday that Turkey was ready to host him and Russia's Vladimir Putin for peace talks "when they are ready", his office said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that Turkey is willing to host negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, after the Russian leader proposed direct talks in the Turkish city.

Erdogan told Macron that international cooperation is critical for initiating peace negotiations and the "sensitive implementation" of Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction processes, the Turkish Presidency reported.
