TikTok has returned to Apple and Google's app stores nearly a month after they were removed. The popular short-form video app returned to the app stores late on Thursday, Feb. 13, according to the Associated Press and Reuters .

President Trump delayed a ban on the Chinese-owned social media app and assured the tech giants they would not be fined for distributing or maintaining it.

The law requires TikTok's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell its U.S. assets in order to continue operating in the U.S. While the law only mandated that ByteDance remove TikTok from app stores in the U.S. if it failed to meet the sale deadline, company executives decided to shut down the app entirely.
