Israeli warplanes carried out a series of heavy airstrikes across several areas in southern Lebanon on Friday, Lebanese state media reported.
The strikes come a day after Lebanon said it had completed the first phase of a plan to disarm Hezbollah. A ceasefire has been in place since November 2024, but Israel has continued its strikes, claiming it is targeting Hezbollah positions.

The Lebanese army declared Thursday that it has disarmed the southern area of the country in “an effective and tangible way” but acknowledged that there remain tunnels and unexploded ordnance. Clearing the southern region of “non-state weaponry” was a requirement of the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel that took effect in November 2024.
