The EV4 is Kia’s take on an electric sedan, but a hatchback model will help Kia target specific EV markets. Kia unveiled the EV4 concept for the first time at its first annual EV Day in October.

"The EV5 is a cornerstone of Kia's European growth strategy,” says Sjoerd Knipping, chief operating officer of Kia Europe.

Kia has yet to show off any photos of the EV4's interior, or tell us anything about it beyond how nice it thinks the designs are. Still, there's a lot we can infer from rumors and other models.

The 2026 Kia EV4 rides on the company’s modular E-GMP platform. According to Kia, the EV4 will be available in hatchback and sedan shells and will offer two battery options.
