A U-Haul truck drove through a group of protesters in Westwood on Sunday during a demonstration in support of the Iranian people. Hundreds of people marched in Westwood to show support for Iranian protesters as the crackdown on demonstrations in the Middle Eastern country resulted in the deaths of hundreds.

Nationwide outcry over the killing of a Minneapolis woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent spilled into the streets of cities across the US on Saturday, with protesters demanding the removal of federal immigration authorities from their communities and justice for the slain Renee Good.

Police are investigating an incident in which the driver of a U-Haul truck drove into several people during a protest Sunday in Westwood against the Iranian regime.

About 2,000 protesters, prompted by the fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis by a federal immigration agent, gathered near Central Park and marched through Manhattan.

Iran’s government has cut off the country from the internet and international telephone calls. The move Thursday night comes after nighttime demonstration called by the exiled crown prince drew a mass of protesters to shout from their windows and storm the streets.
