The anti-Trump protest started at Penn State’s Old Main lawn before it transitioned into a mile-long march through downtown State College. Protesters stayed on the sidewalks and did not appear to impact traffic.

Interim coach Terry Smith, who played for Joe Paterno from 1987-1991 and was hired by Franklin when he became Penn State’s head coach in 2014, is the man tabbed with pulling the Nittany Lions out of their funk. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

The game will feature a Penn State team on a three-game losing streak, who just head coach James Franklin. It’ll also feature an Iowa team hanging in the Big Ten championship race.
