The Carolina Hurricanes return home for a pivotal Game 3 against the Washington Capitals, their second-round Stanley Cup playoff opponent, as their 1-1 series resumes Saturday in Raleigh, N.C.

The Capitals have a couple of massive question to answer before tonight's potential elimination Game 5 against the Hurricanes.

After the Hurricanes were 30th in the NHL in hits per 60 minutes during the regular season (17.15), they have more than doubled that with an average of 34.53 during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. That’s actually more than the Capitals, who have averaged 31.35 this postseason.
