A festive day turned into tragedy in a west-central Wisconsin town when a tornado killed more than 100 people.

An EF2 tornado with 120 mph winds hit Colby, Wisconsin, Thursday evening, damaging homes, businesses, and power lines. A young girl trapped in a barn's debris escaped with minor injuries.

The tornadoes that ripped through Dodge County on May 15 did nearly $7.3 million in damage, according to National Weather Service estimates. The total actual cost, however, is likely to be far higher.
