Pedro Pascal and Kerry Washington were among the A-list stars who joined the No Kings Day protests against President Donald Trump.

The DC protest was the largest in the Washington area, but there also gatherings throughout the DMV, including Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Silver Spring. According to organizers, more than 7 million people participated in more than 2,700 events in all 50 states.

Speaking at a "No Kings" rally in Washington, D.C., Bill Nye, the former host of "Bill Nye the Science Guy," urged lawmakers to “stop the abuses of this petulant president [Trump] and his circle of sycophants,” declaring, “No thrones, no crowns, no kings."

The first “No Kings” protests, held June 14 to counter Trump’s 79th birthday and a military parade celebrating the Army’s 250th anniversary, were the largest coordinated demonstrations of his presidency. Millions marched in hundreds of cities under banners reading “No Thrones, No Crowns, No Kings.”

Large crowds of protesters have gathered in cities across the United for “No Kings” demonstrations against what they see a drift into authoritarianism under President Donald Trump.

Organizers said some 2,600 protests were planned in the U.S. on Saturday. The protests were largely peaceful, as demonstrators united in their stated aim to safeguard the country's democratic values.

The demonstrations follow a wave of protests in June that organizers say drew more than 5 million people in cities across the country.
