Sunport officials announced the nonstop flight on Friday, saying the service will start May 22 with a flight to and from the Albuquerque airport. The nonstop is the 32nd out of the Sunport, according to airport officials. The Dulles International Airport is located in Dulles, Virginia, about a 40-minute drive from Downtown D.C.

United Airlines on May 22 will launch nonstop flights between the Albuquerque International Sunport and Dulles International Airport in the Washington, D.C. area. It’ll be the Sunport’s 32nd nonstop destination. Local leaders are touting the nonstop flight as a step forward for connecting New Mexico to the political heart of the U.S.
